근거중심의학

근거중심의학(Evidence-Based Medicine, EBM)은 개별 환자의 치료에 대한 결정을 내릴 때 현대적이고 최선의 증거를 양심적이고, 명시적이며, 현명하고 합리적으로 사용하려는 의학의 흐름입니다. 근거중심의학 연구방법론은 근거중심의학을 믿을 수 있고 신뢰할 수 있도록 하기 위해 의학적 질문에 대한 모든 활용 가능한 연구를 조사하고 결합하여 최선의 결론을 도출해내는 연구방법론입니다.

근거중심의학 연구방법론

근거중심의학 연구방법론은 최선의 과학적 결론과 임상적용법을 개발하고 확인하며 촉진하는 동시에, 오해의 소지가 있거나 잘못된 결과나 해석으로 이어질 수 있는 의심스러운 결론과 임상적용법의 영향을 정량화합니다. 이를 위해 기존의 과학적 결과들을 통합하여 분석하는 메타 분석을 사용하며, 메타 분석을 통합 분석하여 새로운 결과를 도출하는 메타 리서치 방법론도 활용합니다. 아울러, 기존에 보고된 과학적 결과들의 오류, 재현 가능성, 왜곡의 유무를 평가하고 검증하여 보다 더 신뢰할 수 있고 지속할 수 있는 연구가 이루어질 수 있도록 돕습니다.
